Mongol General: (...) "Conan! What is best in life?"
Conan: "To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of their women."
This guy looks like he's crushed a few enemies, etc. in his time.
@reynard61 : And sure has
Your guess as to who this guy is in the Cuchulainn epic ?
His father? They definitely have the same determined expression.
@reynard61 :
Close enough !
It's Conchobar, king of Ulster, and brother of Setanta's Mother. As for Setanta/Cuchulainn's father, well there are many answers (genitor, spiritual father, his many stepfathers,...), but Sualtam (last week's Iron Age Native) is his main stepfather.
