In my humble opinion the best page for a while in both comics. Much info is revealed in a really short dialogue, and this satisfied smile of cu'chulain looking back onto his entire life (in the first act of his story! How ingenious!), this smile is sooo emotional! I think I will read this page for the fourth time now.

- later - by the way, looking at the next-to-last picture with this imp-like bairffion once more I get the feeling there is a connection between him and the fairies. Maybe a changeling?
1. The hair. I mentioned earlier that I have the idea of bairffion and disone (no, disone! not disone, but disones too) having the same coiffeur.
2. Then there is the speech pattern. First I thought barf might be a gaul between all those gaels. Later I settled with barf having articulation issues like many little children (they are four, aren`t they?). Yet disones use the same pattern (maybe for the same reason, having a somewhat childish apperarance).
3. The name. Doesn't "Bairffion" mean something like "fair-headed"?
4.And now we learn that Bairffion (as it seems in opposition to setanta) insisted of this happenings as no dream, but real experience. Maybe because as a changeling he is from the realm of dream himself?

But this is just an idea. Viewers tend to interpret the artists work too much. I am quite shure half of the modern art cr*p in our Art Hall ("Kunsthalle" in Hamburg wich I highly recommend because of all those old dutch masters) is just a joke if the kind "lets see how far I can go until they won't pay me ten grand for my garage thrash".

@Roland : In our humble, humblest, humblissimest opinion, we do like this page too Many plot details lead to it. The smiling of the ghost in this pannel, we thought, was the right Cuchulainnish behaviour. Mirlik's early sketch triggered the final dialogs, as often happens in our collaboration.

As for Bairrfhionn, hmmmm.... interesting idea... We'll abide by the "Presumption of innocence" principle, for the time being

As for your views about modern (or shall we say conceptual) art, we do agree. Most of it is utter cr*p. We have a place called Beaubourg, in Paris, which is filled with such nonensical productions. Beginning with Duchamps' Ready-made.
You interpretations of the story don't fall in this category AT ALL. We love that. Keep it going.
