Our Ladies (Making of CucuC p.8)

(Texts too small ? Click on the image to enlarge)

Go back to CucuC !

As we were in the process of making the eigth episode of CucuC, we discovered that...

Cows are so sweet !

We mean it ! We did roam the internet to find them, called every talent agency from Moscow to Paris (Texas), and finally, downed our list to four actresses. Take a look at some of our casting snapshots.

Cathy has a solid sense of humour, did some code-hacking back in the Amstrad-Amiga days (before she became a star). She enjoys trekking the Alps, now and then, with her far related cousins. She believes being proud of one's roots, even after years of stardom .
Trivia : Cathy's grandmother was the cow being thrown over the remparts by the french guards of Guido Wommer in Monty Python - Holy Grail... Fetche la vache !

Here is Elizabeth, mother of three. She'd rather keep her professional activities private, but we can tell you that she enjoys reading a lot, especially when it comes to the realist authors of the late nineties. Jane Austeen is her all times favourite. She also is a huge fan of Susanna Clarke's Jonhatan Strange and Mr Norell, and confided to us she wished all the magic-thingy in the book was true, but that it's not, no more than Harry Potter is. But eh,... that's life.

And this is Roberta who's been working in the dubbing business for quite a long time now. You might remember her for her performance of Captain Harlock's voice in the Welsh version of the famous 80s anime series. "Do not mix up Dubbing and Doubling, right ? Though I dub, I never use stunt doubles" she points out. Roberta insists on doing all the stunts required by her parts herself, "à la Vigo Mortensen",  and you can admire a really well executed butt-buck of hers in the "surrounded by cows" scene. Roberta was selected for a secondary part on the casting of X-men's next episode, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, "I'm so very excited ! Being able to work with the likes of Hugh Jackman and Dominic Monaghan, is every ruminant's dearest dream. It's kinda like the beginning of X-COWS, aint it not ?". Sure, Roberta, we wish you all the luck .

Our favourite really is Nelly, a young talent from Novosibirsk, who personnaly directed the last scene in this week's comic. To get things straight, she told us that cows are mighty serious when it comes to eating, and that we should end this week's strip with the eating scene. By the way, she really gave Bairrfhionn the creeps.
And Ladies and Gentlemen, look at this tongue of hers ! You wouldn't want to stand in its way.

Go back to CucuC !
